Piña Colada Protein Shake Recipe

We love protein shakes in our house!

I always feel good about making my kids a
protein shake before school
because I know that protein
will help them feel full and satisfied
and help them make it to lunch!

The current favorite
in our home
is a piña colada shake!

Super Easy!

1 cup milk
(we have tried it with almond milk,
but it tastes a little odd with the pineapple,
but you could use either)
about 8 pieces of frozen pineapple
1 serving of vanilla protein powder
(we happen to love Xango protein)
about a 1/4-1/2 tsp of coconut extract
(depends on how coconutty :) you want it to be)

That is all...throw it all in the blender
and blend til smooth!

I don't add any sugar because the
pineapple is sweet enough for me.

You can also add ice if you want it thicker.
The frozen pineapple thickens it very well.

Using the ingredients I have at home,
this shake is 230 calories.

These are also great post workout.

I hope you enjoy!
Sip on your shake
and pretend you are on an island far away!!

You might also like to try our pumpkin protein shake

i will

i am strong
i can take time for me, that is okay
i am beautiful, inside and out
i CAN find time to eat a healthy balanced diet
i am not less of a person if my house is messy
i can do anything i put my mind to
